Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We'd like to thank you for joining us as we fly the friendly skies. En route this evening we will be crossing over many points of interest, including the grand handstand, oceans of navasana, mountainous arm balancing postures, and rivers of vinyasa. Once we have reached our cruising altitude of 5-6 feet, we will turn off the seatbelt indicator and let you move freely through your practice. I'd like to thank you for joining us, and hope that in the future when your need arises for air travel, you will remember your friends at flightclub.

Learn to use the core to its fullest potential in each asana and transition. Our third chakra 'Manipura' or the belly is our center of confidence, self-esteem and ego, all of which are important aspects of our inversion and arm balancing practices. Thus by building our core strength and foundations we break away from self-doubt and rise like Phoenix. Learn how to use your roots to rise...
Monkey Business

Hanuman is the most chill and devoted of any of the hindu deities. He pledged his life to help a brother out... And did so with mad skills. He is the monkey god, and the son of the wind. Through his devoted heart he has the spirit of a playful child, energetic and fun loving, if not a touch mischievous. This practice is hanuman training. We will take a trip down the rabbit hole to the monkey's den, and practice hanuman style. Of course this will include his namesake pose, and great news!... We will be on our hands quite a bit, and riding the wind. Jai hanuman!

Arm balances, inversions, & core, core, core... Oh and a little laughter too, might as well have a good time and sometimes the best core work is a good laugh! Brock & Krista will take the principals of basic arm balancing techniques, and refine them using cultivation of bandhas (energetic locks). You will learn how to tap into the subtle energy in the body and explore how the blending of physical strength and energetic power can create a state of weightlessness. The good news is the majority of this workshop will be spent in a state of buoyancy, floating effortlessly from one posture to the next.

Wanna defy gravity? Try it... it's a blast!

All are welcome but this is a wonderful workshop for teachers and aspiring teachers, because it will detail some of the less common advanced postures and transitions.

Krista fell in love with the practice of yoga in 1999 when she took her first Ashtanga class with Tim Miller. Since that day she has devoted her time and energy to exploring the numerous dimensions of yoga, both as teacher and student. "I look forward each day to the possibility that my practice both on and off the mat can promote a greater awareness in our immediate need for global peace and unification. ALL is ONE."

Krista teaches retreats around the world and has regular classes based in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties for Yoga Works. She is also teaching for the fabulous Yoga Loft of Manhattan Beach.

Krista teaches a vigorous Vinyasa Flow class filled with challenging armbalances and inversions. She believes that our obstacles are our greatest blessings.

Brock HeadshotBrock was wearing a pair of cowboy boots and a bit of a fog from the previous evening's festivities when he accidentally stumbled across the path of yoga. He was out there fumbling around in the dark, trying to find himself, when the light of yoga clicked on and pointed him in the right direction. Through the physical nature of the practice, and his intense dedication to it, Brock has been able to enliven the body and clarify the mind, preparing him for a momentous trek on the winding road leading to the self and the soul. It is a road he loves to share..."wanna go for a walk?...or how bout we fly instead?"

He spent the majority of his life as a professional musician, but also has a strong background in athletics. He has fused these two together in a rhythmic and vigorous yoga practice. His classes tend to be very focused and challenging, while encouraging his students to search inward, breathe out, cultivate strength, and discover peace of mind...not to mention having a little fun while you are at it. He has been lucky enough to have trained at yogaworks in Santa Monica with Chuck Miller and Maty Exraty, and continued his education with Annie Carpenter and Seane Corn.
