Accommodations

Most Moksha Yoga Center workshops and special events are held at our Riverwest studio, which is near the intersection of Chicago/Milwaukee/Ogden Avenues at 700 N Carpenter, in the Chicago neighborhood of Riverwest. The studio is about two miles from the downtown loop (Michigan Ave., etc.). Unfortunately, there are no hotels within reasonable walking distance of the studio. Most hotels are located downtown in "The Loop," or north of The Loop near Michigan Avenue and the major shopping areas; approximately 5-10 minutes by taxi, depending on traffic. We suggest you locate hotels by going on the Internet and searching for Chicago Hotels, but here are a few listings (please do your own research for prices and availability - this information isn't necessarily up to date):

HOSTEL

• Arlington House International Hostel 616 W. Arlington Place, Chicago, IL 60614, (1-800-467-8355), res@arlingtonhouse.com. Rates (per night): $29 a person for shared quarters; $64 for a private room with a shared bathroom; $66 for a private room with 1/2 bathroom; $78 private room and private bathroom. All rates are subject to change and are per person, per night. Description: 10 minutes north of downtown on bus in a residential neighborhood.


• Hostel International Chicago-Downtown 24 East Congress Parkway, IL 60605, Chicago USA 1-312-360-0300. Located in the center of the city, HI-Chicago is a new 500-bed hostel offering guests safe, clean, quality accommodations near major attractions and public transportation. Guests rooms are spacious with six or more beds, most with an in-suite bath and shower. Enjoy in-house restaurants, Internet room, self-service kitchen, student center, and common areas.

BED AND BREAKFAST

AFFORDABLE

• Quality Inn 1 South Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661, (312) 829-5000. Room rates: $129. Description: In the heart of Greektown, walking distance to downtown shopping.

MID-RANGE

• Ruby Room 1743-45 West Division St, Chicago, IL 60622 - Overnight guest suites may be reserved for a minimum of a two night stay during the week and three night stay during the weekend. Located in ChicagoÍs own Historic Bucktown / Wicker Park our suites are located in one of the best neighborhoods in the city filled with award winning restaurants, shops and galleries. Rates vary from $155-$175 per night.

EXPENSIVE

• Four Seasons 120 E. Delaware Place, Chicago, IL 60622. Room rates: $495-$950 for singles to suites. Description: On the corner of Michigan and Delaware near the "900 North" buildings.
