Brenna Geehan

Originally from New York, Brenna came to Chicago after graduating from college and began her life's work including painting, photography, set design for still photography, studying nutrition and herbalism, and practicing and teaching yoga.

She believes that each of us has the right and capacity to realize a life brimming with joy, meaning and purpose. In her classes, she offers an asana practice that honors a number of styles including vinyasa flow, tantra, and a soft and fluid approach that encourages an "inner listening". She wants to help transform students' bodies to be stronger and more flexible and also aid in removing mental and emotional obstructions so they may have a more balanced and healthy energy flow. Meditation practices are also included to encourage students to find
clarity of mind and peaceful dispositions. Brenna wants to help people find the joyous freedom that she have found through the practice of yoga.

Brenna began studding yoga after graduating from college in 1998. Over the years she has studied with many Yoga masters including David Life, Shiva Rea, Tias Little, Alan Finger, Ana Forrest, Tim Miller, Gary Kraftsow, Andrey Lappa, and Judith Lasater. She assists master teachers in teacher trainings and travels nationally offering Yoga seminars.
