Gemma Ryan

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Gemma Ryan immigrated to the United States with her family in 1980. She grew up in Arkansas and moved to Chicago in 1997. Gemma began practicing yoga in 1998 and she kept it real as a Karma Yogi in the Moksha community from 2002-2005. Gemma is delighted to now be one of the managers of Moksha Yoga Center.

Gemma's exploration of yoga has been a natural, life-affirming process. She is fortunate to have a variety of teachers to learn from and is grateful for the opportunity to work, practice and teach at Moksha.

Gemma completed the 200 hour Teacher Training program with Daren Friesen and the 200 hour Advanced Studies of Universal Freestyle Yoga with Andrey Lappa.

Gemma loves building things, baking & cooking, making stuff happen and helping plants grow. She likes long, long road trips across America and walking around Chicago. Gemma Ryan has been spinning fire since August 2004 and strongly believes there should be less talk and more rock!
