"Kino MacGregor: A Journey, A Workshop"

Fri, Mar 19, 7am-10am

Mysore $40 ($50 after Mar 8)

Ashtanga Mysore is a silent practice where students learn each pose of the Ashtanga yoga practice at their own pace with individual guidance from the teacher. The primary method of instruction is through hands-on adjustments and the teacher will not direct or guide the class on the Ashtanga Series. Mysore classes are recommended for all students, both beginner and advanced. The practice of Ashtanga Mysore is named for Mysore, South India, the place where Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the founder and proponent, lives and teaches.

Fri, Mar 19, 12:00pm-4:00pm

Adjustments Workshop for Teachers $65 ($75 after Mar 8)

In this seminar for teachers you will learn how to approach some key postures in the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series. You can only share what you directly experience so the process of teaching, assisting and guiding students includes your personal level of awareness. While there is cookie cutter method that applies universally to all people in all situations, you will experiment with communicating through hands-on assists during your teaching and during your yoga practice.

Fri, Mar 19, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Breathe & Bandha $50 ($60 after Mar 8)
Inhalation and exhalation are two sides of the inner body. In this class learn how breathe is the key to unlocking the mysteries of inner strength and accessing a calm, meditative mind. Only by mastering the breathe will you gain true access to the power centers deep within your pelvis, often referred to as the "bandhas". These energy locks are both physical muscles that you can access and spiritual doors that you can walk through. Often the missing key to a flowing practice, the integration of breathe and bandha lead the way to the discovery of limitless
power and lasting peace both in your yoga practice and in your life.
