Art & Science of Handstands
Sat, Oct 16, 11am-1:30pm $45 ($60 after Oct 5)The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. Handstand is a posture that can teach us a great deal about patience, focus and precision. A musician learns to improvise and create great jazz music only after they have acquire a firm foundation in their scales. Similarly, acrobatic training techniques will pave the way for yogis to reinvent how to be upside down with ease, control and grace. Students will learn how to develop a personalized training routine that will enhance their strength, balance and endurance in handstand and build progressively into more advanced variations.
*For intermediate yogis who already have a) free headstand practice and b) handstand practice (okay against the wall).
