Spend a Saturday night once a month expanding your yoga possibilities. It's true that an extended practice guided by a qualified teacher can be fun and transforming. Allow yourself this experience to reach for your full potential. Feel great by adding this 3 hour class to your Saturday. This vinyasa flow class will include meditation, breath work, and live music!
Amber Cook is a certified teacher of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. She focuses on the subtle aspects of practice by incorporating meditation, alignment, breath, and mindfulness in an appropriately vigorous class. She uses intention as direction with an emphasis on cultivating the student’s awareness of what they personally need from their practice. Through this style of yoga, Amber believes passionately that yoga practice reveals one's true nature and purpose for being (dharma). With this awareness the student opens to experiencing the world in a more joyful way.Amber's yoga practice began long before her asana practice. At the age of 21, she engrossed herself in the study of Eastern Religions & Philosophy and subsequently moved to Japan under the guidance of one of a professor. While living in Japan, she meditated daily for a year.
She took her first yoga class in Chicago seven years ago because she heard it would relieve back pain. She practically floated down the street after her first class and has been hooked ever since. While attending Columbia College Chicago as a Poetry major, she took a Hatha Yoga course that introduced her to Sanskrit and a deeper knowledge of the poses. Shortly after she was introduced to Moksha Yoga Center through a fellow waitress who attended classes regularly, her life has been completely transformed. Amber states, "Moksha is the studio and sacred space that allowed me to discover who I really am and my purpose for being."
