If you're not an avid diver you can snorkel with us, or skip any day's dive trip and enjoy the many different activities, hikes and tours. Or you can just lounge around at the resort, enjoying the relaxing scenery, yoga studio, beach, and spa treatments. On this unique retreat, you will learn yoga routines specifically designed to help strengthen the body and mind for diving. You will learn some applied anatomy and body mechanics of diving as well as breathing and meditation to help you stay calm underwater for a more enjoyable dive experience.

Family Eco Resort. We welcome you to this beachfront sanctuary, located on the tranquil North
side of Belize’s largest island, Ambergris Caye, just a quarter mile from the second largest Barrier
Reef in the world and a bike ride away from the old fishing village of San Pedro... Isla Bonita.
Be at one with nature within our Maya-inspired village of 7 cabanas mindfully positioned by the
sea. Awaken to the sound of tropical birds, salute the sun peaking over the reef each morning...
and watch the sunset later over the lagoon... Engage in the reef as your playground and snorkel
or drop a fishing line... scuba dive, sail, windsurf, kite-board, kayak and day trips to the Maya

About Belize
Belize is located just south of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Bordered by Guatemala to the west
and south. Approximately the size of Massachusetts, with a population of 225,000.

Room & Board
Private Thatched Cabanas:
Your students/guests will feel at one with nature, waking up with the birds, sleeping within one of Akbol’s 7 thatched cabanas on the sea and within gardens...all with sea view. Each cabana will house 2-3 max students comfortably with one queen bed + two twin beds within our lofts lined with plantain shutters. Outdoor showers, private front porches, hammocks, and five gallon hot and cold water dispenser included with mini fridge. Daily housekeeping with no bedding changes, towels changed on third day to conserve water and energy. There are 3 Seafront and 4 Sea/Garden view options.
Yoga Barracks:
Welcome community living on the lagoon! This building has beautiful gardens and houses 30 single, double, adjoining room options, with two large island-chic shared bath and shower area/locker rooms...one for men and women or co-ed...private locker per room for toiletries...mahogany sinks and conch shelled faucets...bamboo showers which work great...
plenty of toilets... and changing areas... The beds, one/two twins or one queen (limited for couples only), are on top of a wooden stage with plenty of drawers underneath and lockable storage for luggage... chairs/reading lights/fan per room... on either end of the building, first and second floor, are community lounging areas overlooking the lagoon. Great sunsets and bird watching...crocs too. Daily housekeeping, no bedding changes, towels changed on third day.
Food & Drink
Eat together as a community within our private dining palaya overlooking the sea for breakfast, lunch and dinner and flow from class with more leisure time...will be ready by schedule...amazing views and breezes...
Our baseline retreat menu included within the retreat price:
• Fresh Vegetarian Caribbean-Belizean style meals + 2 nights with fresh fish
• Welcoming Belizean BBQ and Creole Night + all other meals are Vegetarian
• All our fruits & veggies are locally grown & specially cleaned
• All drinking water, special teas, coffee and fruit juices are included. We use only filtered water. Our bar/restaurant is open each day to serve any other requests at resort very affordable prices. Guests will have tabs for all other requests. No alcohol included.
Yoga & Wellness Studios
Two studios to choose from:
• Mandalily: the 16' octagon yoga palapa within the lily garden off the beach overlooking the sea. Soothing vibe.
• Satsang: the grand palaypa at the end of the 300' pier. Sacred feel! 35'X40' with lighting and power.
*Each studio is complete with yoga mats, blocks, blankets, straps (limited).

Local Transportation
From Belize City International to San Pedro there are two options:
• Fly directly from Belize City International highly recommended: Tropic air $64 one way pp or $120 roundtrip pp, travel time is 15 minutes
• Take a taxi cab ride 1-3 person $25 one way: travel time is 25 minutes to the water taxi terminal; then water taxi $15 one way pp: travel time is one hour 15 minutes over to the island
