We invite certified Yoga teachers to join us in learning how to design and teach a Yoga Therapy class to cancer patients and survivors in a safe and therapeutic environment.
In this 4-day training you will learn:Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion that may be applied toward Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Units (CEUs): 30 total CEUs, including 25-contact CEUs.
Ingrid Yang, E-RYT has been teaching yoga for the last 12 years. Ingrid founded and ran Blue Point Yoga Center in Durham, NC where she also worked as a clinical research associate in the lab of Dr. Kimberly Blackwell at Duke University Medical Center¹s Morris Cancer Clinic. At Duke, she focused her research specifically on breast cancer and genetic and protein signatures demonstrated in chemotherapy treatment. Ingrid holds her teacher¹s certification in Cancer Yoga Therapy from OM Yoga Center in New York City. Ingrid is currently a medical student at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL and is the co-author of the recently published book, Hatha Yoga Asanas. Having worked closely with cancer patients in the medical field and with extensive yoga expertise, Ingrid is uniquely qualified to inform and inspire teachers to lead cancer patients though the healing process of Yoga.
