Marc was born and raised in Chicago, coming from Filipino roots. He graduated from North Park University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is working as a Registered Nurse in the specialty of Pain Management. He has a passion for health and wellness which includes nutrition, exercise, movement, meditation and spirituality. These interests have led him to yoga, which deepens his understanding and awareness of the body, mind, breath, and spirit.
Marc was first introduced to yoga by taking a class at the gym thinking it was a “good stretch.” He was intrigued about the spiritual components, alignment, and balance that seeped in through the practice. He was eventually introduced to the Temple of Kriya Yoga and chose to pursue the teacher training program to deepen his practice. He completed his 200hr yoga teacher certification in 2017 and received his 500hr advanced yoga teacher certification in 2019. Marc continues to refine his skill, knowledge and wisdom by studying with teachers like Kim Schwartz, Gabriel Halpern, Doug Keller, and Ramanand Patel.
He conducts his class with the understanding of the importance of balance, discipline, patience and compassion. He teaches to help each person realize their potential and ultimately live a more fulfilling life.
Marc will be on sabbatical from January 2020 and will return in the Spring.
