Stella Rae Binion
Stella Rae Binion is a Chicago native who was first introduced to yoga in her teens. Since then, the practice has remained a steady presence throughout many seasons of her life, offering a foundation for self-awareness, resilience, and emotional balance.
Her personal practice is rooted in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, and she recently became a dedicated student of Aṣṭāṅga Yoga after joining the Moksha community. As a teacher, Stella Rae creates a grounded, meditative atmosphere that supports nervous system regulation and helps students feel both empowered and at ease in their bodies. With a strong emphasis on breath and mindful movement, her classes encourage students to slow down, turn inward, and cultivate a deeper connection with themselves. Meditation is an integral part of every class she teaches.
In addition to yoga, Stella Rae has experience apprenticing as a bodywork practitioner and views care as an essential component of collective well-being. Her intention is to support students and clients in developing a compassionate and healing relationship with themselves, carrying the insights and tools gained through practice into their daily lives.
Having navigated her own mental health challenges, Stella Rae has experienced firsthand the transformative power of yoga in cultivating clarity, steadiness, and inner strength. Off the mat, Stella Rae is a filmmaker, poet, and teaching artist. Creativity, collaboration, and community are at the heart of everything she does.
