FLOURISH: A Blue Lotus & Dance Ceremony
We are so excited to have you join us for an evening of movement, connection, prayer, ritual, and the ancient medicine of the Blue Lotus. Let’s come together to open our hearts and souls to FLOURISH!
We will begin the evening with the Wine of the Gods — a Blue Lotus maceration, pure essence of flower — gathering in circle to set intentions, practice rituals of remembrance, and open up the connection with our bodies and the divine. Together we’ll meditate, breathe, and journey, activating the medicine and allowing the lotus to guide us into deeper presence. Her essence opens the heart, calms the mind, and softens the body into a dreamlike state. As the wine moves through our bodies, waves of relaxation, euphoria, and expanded awareness might unfold, preparing us for dance and setting the stage for deep transformation.
The Blue Lotus is a potent flower revered by the ancient Egyptians as a symbol of rebirth, divine love, and spiritual awakening. It is known as the “dream flower,” a medicine that can awaken intuition, creativity, and a sense of flow. It also opens the third eye — the Eye of Horus — the sacred son of Isis and Osiris, who will be invited to dance with us and within us, embodying the divine masculine and feminine and their abundance of life. Although blue lotus does not have psychedelic effects, it can cause dreamlike states and bring us into liminal spaces between this world and worlds beyond.
From the space of dream and flow, we will enter the dance and begin with gentle movement and embodiment practices — allowing the body to open, breath to deepen, and the Lotus to guide us into trance. You will be invited to open up to others in this state with Contact Beyond Contact dance practices to open the floor to deep connection and sacred communion with others in the space. We will practice sovereignty, trust, listening, and presence. Our dance tonight will be a prayer, a sacred devotional act to meet the divine in ourselves and one another. Our evening of ceremony will be guided by live looping music by none other than Musical Mindset, aka Apostole Grosso, an amazing musician that has guided many ceremonies and dances in the Chicagoland area.
We will gather in circle at the end, honoring the bonds created, sharing insights, and grounding the energies we’ve woven together. The evening will end in stillness with sound and guided meditation, integrating the journey back into our hearts and lives.

Body Painting Ritual
For those who want to come adorned in paint and participate in a body painting ritual, Lucie Lou will have availability from 12-4p at Moksha in 30 minute time slots. She is a gifted artist and ceremonialist who will transform your body into a temple through sacred body art. Inspired by the Blue Lotus ceremony, her brush flows with Egyptian and Native organic traits — like the lotus floating on water — following your energy, highlighting and embellishing it with color, pattern, and symbol. Lucie Lou (@costunomade) is an artist, painter, ceremonialist, women’s circle facilitator, and medicine woman originally from France but living and studying traditions from the Americas for the last five years. After she entered the Sun Dance, she came into deep remembrance of letting go of the identity and reconnecting the soul to the ritual knowledge of the Lakota. Her body painting was born from this ritualistic space. She has received and learned native medicine from several masters and had been taught how to offer her gifts to bring healing into this world.
