Colby Borges
Colby Borges is an energetic, charismatic teacher who feels most alive at the intersection of movement and rhythm. A natural explorer and free spirit, he embraces curiosity and encourages others to do the same. Growing up on the East Coast, Colby was fortunate to immerse himself in a wide range of hobbies, places, and cultures from a young age, and considers himself a true hobby collector. He believes connection and community are the most sacred parts of being human, and works to foster warm, welcoming spaces where people can grow into themselves.
Colby first tried yoga in High School and it has been part of his daily life ever since. He believes that it has been central to his healing and health, reconnecting him to his body and mind through bandhas and breath. He later discovered Ashtanga at Moksha Yoga Center under Daren, and was fascinated by the vastness of its roots and the difficulty of the practice. He had never found a community or a practice to be as holistic as this, and feels that it’s a true reflection of his inner essence.
Since his early childhood days Colby has been called to help others, and that calling has carried him through many careers and experiences. Today he channels that energy into his own practice and coaching through Tune In, a program he built to help others focus their energy inward and design a life that’s genuinely their own. It’s drawn entirely from his own learning and experience, passed on as challenges and practices for others to live out. He believes a rich life is full of experience and adversity, and that we learn far more about ourselves by trying new things than by reading about them. His life is defined by two sayings: “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” and “Go One More.”
