
Fundamentals for Advanced with Sarah
Are you a student or a teacher that is seeking more understanding on how to properly align your body or your students bodies in practice? Have you ever thought to yourself in practice, “is this how I am supposed to be practicing this pose?’ If you answered yes, then this event is for you.
In our time together we will dive into a variety of common yoga poses and where we often see potentially problematic alignment. You will learn the basics for cultivating a home practice. You will have the opportunity as a teacher or a student of yoga to bring your questions and together as a community we will dive into how to support each pose. We will learn common repetitive stress injuries associated with poor alignment. When it is necessary to assist students and how to make those adjustments in your own practice. You will learn how to self adjust your own asana or poses, as well as how to use cues or props to support alignment as both teacher and student.
If you are seeking a complete yoga practice please join me in the public class at 10am, just before this session. Upon completion of this training session you will feel more confident on the mat, whether that is at the front of the class or in it. Through consistent and dedicated practice the asanas will begin to reveal to you the options they hold for deepening not only your pose, but also unlocking the inherent wisdom within you.
