
Thesis: The Impact of Yoga on Autoimmune Diseases
This workshop will explore the impact of yoga on autoimmune diseases. We will discuss how yoga improve our quality of life specially by being immunocompromised. We will explore how asana affects the mobility in all body joints. You will learn how to start your daily practice, a new way to start your day, exploring and understanding the human body. We will learn how to relate to the body in a compassionate way that can be very healing. “It will make us realize that being in our own body is truly a gift”.
Lupita was born and raise in Guadalajara, Mexico. Graduated from Universidad Del Valle de Atemajac with a Bachelor’s in Medicine in 2017. That’s when she realized the fascination by the human body and what is capable of doing. On 2015 she was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoinmune disease which was “really difficult to deal with phisically and mentally” she states. Was in that exact moment when she connected with Yoga and realized a couple of the huge benefits yoga can offer. Lupita got her first yoga certifcation 200hrs in “The Yoga Lab” in Guadalajara, Mexico. Then continue learning from workshop like “the art of sequencing” in feb 2023. She currently hold a license as Certified Personal Trainer by ISSA and she recently got certified as a flexologist by the Institude for Credentialing Excellence for Assisted Stretching.
One of the main reasons she chose this field according to Lupita “is to be able to help people achieve a higher quality of life – I truly enjoy learning about the human body and what a balanced life can do.” In her free time, you can find Lupita doing weightlifting and practicing yoga.
