In place of Natalie’s event, Daren will be teaching a solstice class:
On the Winter Solstice—the year’s great pause—we gather to move, breathe, and listen as darkness turns its face toward light. This thoughtfully woven practice begins with steady standing postures to cultivate warmth, strength, and inner resolve, building a grounded foundation as the outer world grows quiet. From there we explore topsy-turvy poses that gently invert our usual perspective, refreshing the nervous system and inviting prāṇa to flow in new and enlivening ways (yes, it’s okay if gravity has opinions).
Prāṇāyāma practices focused on purification help clear stagnation from body and mind, creating space for clarity, vitality, and subtle inner heat. The class concludes with guided meditations designed for transitions—honoring what has been released, welcoming what is gestating, and resting in the fertile stillness between endings and beginnings. Expect a practice that is grounding yet luminous, introspective yet quietly empowering, offering a moment to align with the deep intelligence of the season and step forward with intention as the light slowly returns.
