Eileen Gulik

Eileen Gulik, DPT, E-RYT 500 is a senior yoga teacher and former pelvic floor physical therapist with over 2000 hours of training and education in the study of yoga. She has taught yoga and meditation for the past 17 years, primarily in the Silicon Valley, but is now back teaching in her hometown of Chicago. Her teaching style emphasizes breath awareness during asana so that each class is a moving meditation.
Eileen’s philosophy is that true health and happiness arises from equilibrium of the physical, mental, and emotional layers of the self, which further aligns one with their spiritual self. Her yoga teaching primarily aligns with the lineage of the Himalayan Institute, but also incorporates elements of pilates, functional movement patterns, and therapeutic rehab exercises.

Off the mat, Eileen likes to get outdoors as much as possible. She enjoys moving her body in a variety of ways – hula-hooping, kayaking, hiking, and weight training, to name a few. She also appreciates relaxing at home with her partner and their cat.

The asana is not the yoga, the residue of the asana is the yoga.”
