Heather Rawlinson

Heather discovered yoga at the age of twelve, attending vinyāsa classes with her aunt in Oregon. She was immediately captivated by the harmony of breath and movement, and by the newfound sense of connection she felt within her own body. Since then, her practice has traveled with her across the United States and abroad, with memorable seasons of study in France, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

In 2022, Heather deepened her commitment to yoga, expanding both the frequency and depth of her practice. With a background in dance, she brings a natural sensitivity to movement—feeling each posture from the inside out and using the practice as a way to quiet the mind. When she moved to Chicago in 2024, Heather began studying at Moksha Yoga, a studio dedicated to the roots of classical yoga. Immersed in this environment, she discovered a wellspring of wisdom that reached far beyond āsana practice. At Moksha, she encountered the full breadth of yoga’s eight limbs—meditation, breathwork, mantra, and philosophy—woven together with reverence for tradition. This holistic approach allowed her to experience yoga not only as physical movement but as a timeless path of self-realization.

Heather’s wish is to share yoga as a living art, inspiring in others the same joy and curiosity that has shaped her own journey. Her vinyāsa classes are dynamic and ever-evolving, designed to keep students engaged, challenged, and present. She weaves creativity and playfulness into each flow, offering heat-building, core-focused sequences for those needing to energize and release stagnation, as well as gentler, slow-flow practices to invite grounding and balance. Above all, Heather teaches from the belief that yoga is a practice of listening—tuning into the body’s wisdom and honoring what it needs in each moment.
