Lydia Billie

Lydia Rose Billie was introduced to the mystical rhythms of life through her family’s expressions of music, food, dance, emotion, and love. From an early age, she was captivated by spirituality, often wandering into the woods and imagining herself living among the fairies. As she grew older and became aware of both the beauty and suffering woven throughout the human experience, she began seeking a deeper sense of peace within her mind, body, and spirit. She studied film and sound at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts before continuing her education at Columbia College Chicago.

Her journey led her through experiences of insecurity, grief, shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, and fear, ultimately guiding her back to a path of healing, self-discovery, and freedom. Today, Lydia draws inspiration from the ancient teachings of the Eight Limbs of Yoga—Yama, Niyama, Āsana, Prāṇāyāma, Pratyāhāra, Dhāraṇā, Dhyāna, and Samādhi. She is devoted to cultivating peace, empowerment, and unity through conscious living and alignment with nature. Through moment-to-moment awareness of the breath, she listens deeply to the wisdom of the natural world, allowing its rhythms to guide her service to the well-being of all.
